In contemporary design, helical structures represent a design solution capable of transforming metal into dynamic and continuous forms: complex geometries that develop in space without the support of a central pillar, turning metal into a fluid, uninterrupted and dynamic line. Unlike traditional solutions, these configurations open up the view and visually lighten the environment, while maintaining structural strength.
The realization of these helical forms requires precise control over curvature, stress, and connection points—elements that make metal the ideal material for this type of application. Within this context, Lamberti Design’s expertise stands out, specializing in metalworking and in the complete management of the process: from executive design to workshop production and final installation. The aesthetic value of these structures is thus combined with a strong technical component, where every detail contributes to creating a striking result that is consistent with the surrounding space.
From design to production: the role of metal working
The construction of a spiral structure involves a complex process in which each phase must be carefully coordinated to ensure both stability and formal continuity. Metal is shaped using advanced technologies such as cutting, bending, and welding, allowing for the creation of complex elements while maintaining tight tolerances and a high level of quality.
Lamberti Design combines technical expertise with production capability to develop bespoke solutions tailored to the specific needs of each project. The ability to customize dimensions, finishes, and construction details makes it possible to create unique structures designed to interact with a variety of architectural contexts, from residential to corporate environments.
In particular, the choice of finishes becomes an integral part of the design, contributing to defining the character and visual impact of the intervention.

Spiral sculpture: a bespoke project by Lamberti Design
A concrete example of this design capability is the spiral sculpture created for a presidential office in Solofra, conceived as both an architectural and scenographic element. The helical structure, made of carbon steel with a gold-effect finish, develops with a radius of nearly four meters and a height of five meters, defining an enveloping and dynamic volume.
The spiral consists of a box-section band approximately one meter and thirty centimeters wide and ten centimeters deep, pre-assembled and welded in the workshop to ensure precision and formal continuity. After polishing, the structure was transported to the site and completed with its final finishes.
The result is a structure that combines engineering and design, transforming metal into a distinctive architectural feature capable of defining space and engaging with its environment in an elegant and contemporary way.
