The Star Chair at Salerno Design Week

On the occasion of Salerno Design Week 2026, the Star Chair – designed by Antonio Pio Saracino and manufactured by Lamberti Design – is on display at Brancaccio Boutique in Piazza Flavio Gioia, Salerno. With its striking sculptural character, the chair turns metalworking into an integral part of the design concept.

A Three-Dimensional Star in Aluminium

The concept behind the Star Chair stems from the idea of transforming an essential geometric shape into a truly three-dimensional presence. A single sheet of aluminium is shaped through bending, welding and hand-finishing processes to create a structure in which the different points of the star extend outwards from the central core, forming the legs, seat and backrest.

The result is a chair with clean, dynamic lines, in which the visual lightness of aluminium contrasts with the complexity of its geometry. The structure was subsequently lacquered in its distinctive orange shade, a choice that enhances its contemporary character and makes it a striking focal point within any space. The Star Chair is designed for both indoor and outdoor settings and can also be produced in other RAL colours, offering extensive customisation options to suit each project and its context.

From Concept to Creation: The Star Collection

The Star Collection by Antonio Pio Saracino was entirely manufactured by Lamberti Design, which transformed the designer’s concept into a collection of metal furniture pieces. The Star Chair expresses the collection’s distinctive three-dimensional star motif through an aluminium-working process that combines lightness, precision and meticulous attention to finishing.
