Salerno Design week 2026: Lamberti Design presents “The Symbiotic House”

From 16 to 20 September, Salerno Design Week returns, promoted by Confindustria Salerno with the support of Confcommercio and under the patronage of local institutions.

Five days dedicated to design, featuring exhibitions, talks, performances and music across some of the city’s most iconic venues.

The event will open on the 16the of September at the Provincial Art Gallery in Palazzo Pinto with the inauguration of “Pottergeist: Archetypes, Symbols, Forms, Images”, an exhibition curated by HoperAperta, a project by Patrizia Catalano and Maurizio Barberis. The title combines the English word potter with the German term Geist, meaning spirit: the “spirit of the potter”, understood as the creative force capable of shaping matter.

The exhibition explores the home as a place of memories and rituals through a collection of furniture, objects and other wonders conceived for a contemporary Wunderhaus. Forms, images, symbols and colours give domestic objects a narrative dimension that goes beyond their function.

Once again this year, Lamberti Design is one of the partner companies supporting Salerno Design Week and will take part in the exhibition with “The Symbiotic House”, a project produced in collaboration with Atelier Femia which designed the object.

At the heart of the installation is a stainless-steel display table featuring sixty metal tiles folded into truncated-pyramid shapes. Each element interprets the material through a different finish: polished black-nickel Vintage, burnished brushed brass, polished gold Vintage, blackened stainless steel and burnished Boreale brass.

For Lamberti Design, taking part in Salerno Design Week is an opportunity to showcase, in the heart of the city, what has always distinguished our work: our ability to transform metal and explore new forms of expression through research and collaboration with designers and architects.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from 16 September to 30 November 2026 at the Provincial Art Gallery in Palazzo Pinto, Salerno.
