Interni Magazine focuses on “Silence punctuated by words” for Hopera Aperta

Interni Magazine featured the exhibition “The House of Imperfect Silence“,  organized by Hopera Aperta at the Palazzo Pinto Pinacoteca in Salerno, “an exhibition dedicated to domestic interiors conceived and experienced as whole works of art“.

The exhibition featured the work “Silence punctuated by Words” the result of a collaboration between Lamberti Design and the Femia Atelier.

The sculpture, developed with laser-etched metal tubes and a mirror stainless steel surface, translates the canonical hours of prayer into three-dimensional coordinates, transforming silence into words and offering visitors an immersive experience combining design, art, and spirituality. Material’s choice, the attention to construction details, and the ability to blend sturdiness and visual elegance make the work a true example of how design can convey profound meaning. This work demonstrates Lamberti Design’s ability to place its artisanal and technological excellence at the service of art, contributing to the enhancement of a cultural event of great importance for the region.

Design as an emotional experience

In their article in the prestigious Interni magazine, curators Maurizio Barberis and Patrizia Catalano emphasized the project’s goal: “to bring art closer to humanity and design more emotionally functional.” At the heart of the exhibition, in fact, is the figure of the contemporary collector.

As the curators explain, two types of collectors can be distinguished today: those who primarily focus on the exchange value of the work, and those who prioritize its use, emotional, and experiential value. Hopera Aperta focuses on this second dimension: the collector’s domestic world as a personal and intimate universe, a “narcissistic paradise” in which each object contributes to a totalizing aesthetic experience.

This important recognition underscores not only the exhibition’s prestige, but also Lamberti Design’s role in creating works that combine art, innovation, and craftsmanship.
