The Silence punctuated by words
For the first edition of Salerno Design Week, Lamberti Design produced the art work “Silence punctuated by words” for the Femia atelier, for the Hopera Aperta exhibition, running until August 31st at the Pinacoteca di Salerno, Palazzo Pinto.
An artistic object with a strong visual and conceptual impact, it takes shape from a solid base of lacquered wood, topped with a mirror-polished stainless steel plate. The reflective surface amplifies the work’s verticality and multiplies its meaning, creating a play of visual and symbolic references between structure, space, and the viewer.
The sculpture unfolds through a ring of lasertube cut metal tubes, distributed at different heights, engraved with words such as Lauds, Terce, Sext, None, Duodecima, Compline, and Nocturne. These are the canonical hours, moments of prayer and reflection, transformed into three-dimensional coordinates in space, marking a silent yet present rhythm.
The completely concealed connection systems are designed to ensure maximum formal clarity and structural lightness, enhancing the elegance of the design and precision of the workmanship. A work that invites contemplation and listening, in a suspended time where silence becomes speech.
