Salerno Design Week will take place from the 21st to the 24th of May 2025, an event promoted by Confindustria Salerno, and a special thanks goes to and the local institutional entities.
The theme chosen for this edition is “The kindness of design”: a reflection on the positive impact that design can have on people’s well-being and on the enhancement of the territory. The event will offer exhibitions, talks and musical aperitifs, a unique opportunity to experience design as a collective and sensory experience.
Among the companies promoting the Salerno Design Week is Lamberti Design, which, in collaboration with Atelier Femia, presents the project “Il silenzio scandito da parole” (the Silence Marked by Words), during the exhibition “La casa del Silenzio Imperfetto” (The House of Imperfect Silence), curated by Hopera Aperta. The curators of the exhibition project, Patrizia Catalano and Maurizio Barberis, explain the meaning of the exhibition, offering a suggestive interpretation:
“What makes the housing stable and eternal? It is the objects, and the time that passes through them, in the silence made of the repetition of daily gestures. Lauds, Terce, Sext, None, Duodecima, Compline, Nocturne: moments like coordinates in the space, intertwined with each other. Silence thus becomes a sensitive fabric, capable of capturing the vibrations of words that transform into sound waves, into visual disturbances that expand in time and space.”
The exhibition “La casa del Silenzio Imperfetto” will be on display at the Pinacoteca Provinciale di Palazzo Pinto in Salerno, from May 21 to August 31, 2025.
