Private Residence

In the portfolio dedicated to the design and creation of steel and glass staircases, steel and glass railings, and steel and glass balustrades for private residences, the work carried out by Lamberti Design at a private residence in the province of Avellino stands out.

When no standard solution for balustrades, railings, or staircases is available on the market; when spaces are constrained by walls, beams, floors, or other fixed structural elements; when existing spaces do not allow the use of commercially available solutions, and therefore when the client requires a “custom-made” intervention, the solution can be provided by Lamberti Design.

The steps that follow the initial preliminary consultation with the client are: site survey, engineering, production, installation, and testing of the desired staircase.

For this specific project in the province of Avellino, the steel spiral staircase becomes almost a sculpture. Positioned in the corner of the house in front of a large window, a sinuous spiral structure in oven-painted metal coated with matte white RAL epoxy powders stands out.

The stringers are made from 1 cm thick iron flat bars custom rolled to shape. The vertical uprights consist of double flat bars with terminals connected to tubular <a href=”https://www.lambertidesign.it/finiture-metalliche/acciaio-satinato/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish</a>. The connecting rods between the painted iron uprights are hand-shaped. The treads, made with an iron structure, house tempered and laminated opal glass.

The self-supporting staircase is fixed at two points: to the floor and to the slab above. After the on-site inspection carried out by the specialized Lamberti Design team for the necessary technical measurements, the staircase was engineered by the design and prototype department and then handcrafted at the company’s headquarters in Cava de’ Tirreni.

All the steel furnishing elements, carefully packed, were then transported to the construction site using dedicated vehicles and installed by specialized craftsmen.
