The first edition of Salerno Design Week, which celebrated “The Kindness of Design”, just ended.
The event had the support and patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of Salerno, the collaboration of Confcommercio – provincial delegation of Salerno, the patronage of the Municipality and Province of Salerno, the Foundation of the Salerno Community, the Campania Region, and that of Universities, Bodies, institutions, professional orders and associations of the Design environment.
The program saw a busy schedule of initiatives:
- 4 Education
- 5 Exhibit
- 4 Talk
- 2 Party
- 11 AperiDesign
- 1 contest, which saw the involvement of 30 designers, mostly young people
2500 people were registered in total at the various moments of the Salerno Design Week. The city of Salerno, during the four days of the Salerno Design Week, saw an increased interest from visitors and tourists. Among the participants:
- 50 designers, architects and artists from Campania, Italy and abroad, involved in the various initiatives
- 50 Italian companies, including 25 from Salerno
- 25 shops from Salerno involved in the initiatives “In Vetrina” and “AperiDesign”
- 17 professional associations, institutes, foundations and sector associations and 2 Campania universities that sponsored, supported and promoted the SDW.
For Lamberti Design it was an opportunity to introduce the project “Silence marked by words” exhibited within the exhibition “The house of imperfect silence” designed by Studio Femia.
The exhibition will be on display at the Pinacoteca Provinciale of Palazzo Pinto in Salerno until August 31, 2025.
