Lamberti Design expands its range of products with the Canvas finish on Stainless Steel Brass.

Designed, developed, and manufactured in-house, these finishes introduce a unique canvas finish, in which the crisscross satin finish creates a refined texture, inspired by the world of fine fabrics and textiles typical of Medieval Europe. Two different materials, united by a single vision: transforming metal into textured, elegant surface rich in visual and tactile depth.

Metal becomes fabric
The word “telato” translated into “canvas” immediately evokes fabrics, woven and crafted with patience and precision. It is precisely from this imagery that lamberti design developed the Telato concept: a finish that transforms metal into a surface to be observed and touched, where light flows following a dense, orderly, and elegant pattern. The crisscross satin finish creates a textured effect that breaks the homogeneity of the metal surface, restoring visual depth and a refined tactile sensation. The metal loses its coldness and takes on a warmer, almost textile-like character, becoming the protagonist of interior design, retail, and custom-made furniture projects.
Canvas Stainless Steel and Canvas Brass: Different Metals with the same material Language
The Canvas Stainless Steel finish interprets the concept of texture by applying it to a material known for its strength and durability. Thanks to the presence of chromium, stainless steel is naturally protected from oxidation and corrosion. Through artisanal processing with different-grain abrasive papers and sponges, the surface is satin-finished in a multidirectional manner, creating a texture inspired by the fine fabrics of medieval Europe. The result is an elegant yet technical finish, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

The Canvas Brass finish, on the other hand, enhances the warmer, more vibrant character of the copper-zinc alloy. Here too, the orthogonal satin finish creates a visible and refined texture, capable of interacting with light and evolving over time. Naturally subject to oxidation that darkens its hue, brass thus acquires a material depth that makes each piece unique.
