National Archaeological Museum of Paestum
The archaeological museum of Paestum opens a new section ” PAESTUM: from the Roman city to today ” named after Mario Torelli.
Lamberti Design, after an accurate survey, engineered and produced the display benches around the two double heights overlooking the main atrium. The various shaped benches, made of heat-painted iron with thermoset powders, host various display cases with drawers for housing the finds and display systems.
Here are some of the exhibition furnishings manufactured:
- High free standing display cases with integrated lighting;
- Individual display supports with controlled and/or on-site shaped fixing systems, to allow the safety and correct display of the archaeological finds;
- Display cases shaped according to the finds to be housed, made with shaped profiles and special seals to avoid contamination of the finds, including hidden accommodations for dehumidifying salts;
- Display cases with hydraulic lifting solutions to facilitate maintenance workers in the ordinary planting and cataloging of the finds.
The display elements were manufactured to be easily viewed by people with motor disabilities.
Together with the museum staff, archaeologists and the help of special lifting equipment, the latest historical finds were positioned. A delicate, detailed job that was completed with great passion and satisfaction.
