Lamberti produced a singular display system for an eyeglass store in Salerno on Corso Vittorio Emanuele. The metal furniture for the eyeglass store was a specific request by the client to have the entire wall, floor to ceiling, covered with perforated steel. The use of the perforated metal created a dark/light effect – I see I do not see – and provides more air to the environment by lightening the weight of the large metal structures for a lighter aesthetic appearance. The four walls, about four meters high and about four meters long, are made of perforated iron sheets fire-painted with epoxy powder. The upright metal bars have been CNC cut to fit the custom eyeglass shelves and allow for an random arrangement along the metal wall. The entire project, like all the other examples of metal furniture for eyeglass stores and furniture for showrooms, was entirely made in Italy at the Lamberti Design factory in Cava De’Tirreni, then carefully packed and transported to the job site to be installed by Lamberti’s crew in one day.
