Weaved Stainless

Weaved Stainless The Weaved Stainless finish by Lamberti Design gives a cloth aspect to the metal surface, with a texture inspired by the fine Mediaeval European fabrics. The Stainless Steel, also known in Italy as Inox, is an iron-carbon alloy that shows good resistance to oxidation and its corrosion. This is mainly due to the presence of chromium (between 12-18%) able to form an invisible layer of oxide that protects the metal from further oxidation. The weaved stainless finish is the result of artisanal processes using abrasive papers and pads. Inspections and controls are carried out to guarantee and “standardize” the quality of the final products. This finish is both for indoor and outdoor applications. The three-digit notation of the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) define the different types of stainless steel available on the market. In the furniture field, the final products are manufactured using AISI 304, suitable for not corrosive indoor environments. When the manufacts are near the sea, swimming pools and/or boats we suggest using AISI 316. The presence of molybdenum in AISI 316 (not present in AISI 304) ensures a greater resistance to corrosion in more aggressive environments. The environmental conditions, the geometry and the shape of the products, combined with the artisanal processes, make the final pieces unique; therefore any chromatic variations on the final objects compared to photos and samples received, are intrinsic characteristics of the process and not manufacturing defects. Care and cleaning instructions of metals Liquids can stain any metal surfaces, therefore we recommend cleaning with a soft slightly damp cloth with neutral soapsuds, and then following using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive materials, aggressive detergents, acetone, solvents and alcohol to clean metal surfaces.
