As part of the redevelopment and enhancement project of the Arch of Trajan area in Benevento, Lamberti Design contributed to the creation of the museum installations for the new Lapidarium, providing custom solutions for the display and safeguarding of archaeological artifacts.

The intervention is set within a context of great historical and architectural value, where the overall project has redefined the area surrounding the monument through new Vesuvian stone paving and the introduction of a glass display case, designed to guide visitors through a layered interpretation of the site. Lamberti Design’s contribution focused on the design and production of metal display supports, conceived to integrate discreetly and with formal rigor into the museum space.

Each structure was developed based on the specific requirements of the individual artifacts: the fixing and securing systems were custom-designed through a collaborative process with the client and under the supervision of the responsible archaeologist. The variety and delicacy of the objects required a highly tailored approach, with each solution defined following technical testing and thorough verification.

The structures were manufactured using CNC cutting of metal tubes and sheets, ensuring precision in joints and overall solidity. Subsequent stages of welding, finishing, and powder coating allowed for durable surfaces consistent with the exhibition context.

As part of the installation, Lamberti Design also produced and installed metal supports for multimedia screens, visually integrated with the other structures through the same finish.

PICS Funds for the Restyling Works

The redevelopment plan of the area—funded through PICS (Integrated Programs for a Sustainable City) funds—is part of the broader strategy of the Campania Region, which, through Axis 10 of the ERDF ROP 2014–2020, identified 19 “medium-sized cities,” including Benevento, as drivers of integrated territorial development.

With a total value exceeding €1.3 million, the project goes beyond a simple restoration, aiming instead at the comprehensive enhancement of the site through a layered reading of the space.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
