Copper Green Stainless

The Copper Green Stainless finish developed by Lamberti Design is inspired by the natural patina that covers the famous Statue of Liberty. Stainless Steel, also known in Italy as Inox, is an iron-carbon alloy that shows good resistance to oxidation and its corrosion. This is mainly due to the presence of chromium (between 12-18%) able to form an invisible layer that protects the metal from further oxidation. Starting from these considerations, Lamberti Design has developed a procedure to apply directly the copper green patina on the stainless steel surface through adequate physical-chemical deposition processes. The final objects show a green-blue finish with slight color variations from yellow to pink, that could darken over time. Mechanical and chemical cleaning steps can significantly influence the final quality surface. In addition, the preparation itself can speed up and “standardize” the quality of the final products. At the end, a protective clear coat is applied. This finish is for indoor applications only. The environmental conditions, the geometry and the shape of the products, combined with the artisanal processes, make the final pieces unique; in fact, any chromatic variations on the final objects compared to photos and samples received, are intrinsic characteristics of the process and not manufacturing defects.

Care and cleaning instructions of metals
Liquids can stain any metal surfaces; therefore, we recommend cleaning with a soft slightly damp cloth, and then following using a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive materials, aggressive detergents, acetone, solvents and alcohol to clean metal surfaces.
